Welcome to Movo. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Movo mobile app and services (“Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Eligibility
  • You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of Canada.

  • You must complete all required identity verification (KYC) before using our Services.

Account Setup
  • You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration.

  • You are responsible for maintaining your login credentials and ensuring the security of your account.

  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.

Services Overview
  • Crypto Trading: Buy/sell supported cryptocurrencies at competitive rates.

  • Hot Wallet: Your crypto is stored in secure non-custodial wallets; only you control access.

  • Stablecoin Remittance: Convert CAD into stablecoins to send local currencies directly to bank accounts.

  • Fiat Management: Hold and manage CAD balances via segregated fiat accounts.

Fees & Pricing
  • A fee schedule is available within the app

  • Exchange and remittance fees may vary; the trade confirmation screen displays the final price.

  • We may adjust fees with 30 days’ notice.

Trading, Settlement & Execution
  • Transactions are executed via third-party liquidity providers.

  • Final execution prices may differ due to market fluctuations, network congestion, or liquidity.

  • Settlement times depend on chain confirmation and external banking processes.

Security & Custody
  • We use secure hot wallet infrastructure and advanced cryptography (e.g., MPC) to protect your assets.

  • We do not have access to your private keys or ability to withdraw funds.

  • All data in transit is encrypted (SSL/TLS); we employ industry-standard security protocols.

Risk Disclosure
  • Cryptocurrency is volatile; past performance does not guarantee future results.

  • Remittances may be delayed due to banking or compliance procedures.

  • Transactions carry inherent risks—please consider them before proceeding.

Compliance & KYC
  • To access Services, you must complete identity verification via licensed third-party providers.

  • We do not store your KYC documents; they are securely processed and deleted per privacy standards.

Privacy
  • Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • We retain only the information required to provide Services and fulfill legal obligations.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for illegal activity, money laundering, or financing terrorism.

  • Provide false or misleading information.

  • Interfere with system operations or violate security protocols.

Limitation of Liability
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free Services.

  • We are not liable for losses due to trading, cyber-attacks, or system failures, except where required by law.

  • Maximum liability is limited to the amount of your last trade or deposit.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Movo, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims or losses arising from your use of the Services or breach of these Terms.

Amendments

We may update these Terms as needed. We will notify you via the app or email. Continued use after updates signifies acceptance.

Termination
  • You can close your account by withdrawing all funds and notifying support.

  • We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or applicable laws.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
